Janika's Baptism!

Janika was baptized Saturday, December 6th. I can't believe she is already 8. She was really excited to receive the Holy Ghost. We practiced during the summer and then went to the Legacy Center Friday night to make sure she felt comfortable with going under water. Before this summer she would freak out and so we were scared that she wouldn't be able to get baptized. We are so proud of Janika and her decision to be baptized. The bummer part of the whole day was that Dan was sick with the flu. Today, Janika told me that Dan stepped on her feet to make sure they didnt' come up. I didn't realize that. After the baptism we invited everyone to our home for rootbeer floats. On my dad's side of the famiy it is tradition to have rootbeer floats when some big milestone like this happens. In talking with my dad and Grandma Hardman it started when my Grandpa was ordained an Elder or High Priest (they aren't sure which), but its been a tradition for a long time.
