My mom decided she thought it'd be nice to have a family night with everyone up in the canyon. She worked hard at putting it together, finding just the right place, where kids would have something to do. We went to Canyon Glen up Provo Canyon. It was lots of fun. While we were waiting for everyone to get there, Scott started a "campfire" game. It was just a memory game, where we had to copy what he said, but believe me it was a lot harder than it sounds and funny to listen to everyone trying to get it.
Here it goes: 1 fat hen, a couple a duck, 3 brown bear, 4 running hare, 5 fine fickle female sitting on a fence, 6 simple simon sittin sippin cider on a Sunday, 7 sinbad sailors sailing the seven seas, 8 egotistical egotist egotistically easing down ale, 9 nudy nudist needing nicotine and nyquil, 10 i bought a box of biscuits, a box of mixed biscuits and a biscuit mixer. I think I got it!
There was a trail the kids rode their bikes/scooters down a hill. There was an ampitheather where all the grandkids (minus Kierra of course) put on plays for us. One of their plays was about 4 spiders (boys) and 2 ladybugs (girls). It was really fun to see them having fun together in nature. My mom (Grandma) and Scott took off on the boys scooters. It was fun to see them racing around on them, of course Scottie winning. She did it because no one thought she would. She is always thinking of her family and how we can spend time together and have fun. Thanks Mom. We love you!! It was a success. I think everyone had fun!
On the way home, Makayla kept us laughing. She was asking "why" about everyhing from "why isn't the moon awake?" (we said it was, because it was in the sky, she said no because she couldn't see any eyes) to "why can't you get into that church (that was blocked by construction)". I don't remember everything but it went on almost the whole way home. At one point she said, "let's stop talking now." She is such a hoot.
